3/08/2001 12:00:05 PM|||Brian Fending||| Whew! I just got back from the *very* successful six-day Gray Code tour with Tom Bickley, Jon Matis, Joe Zitt, and Matt Davis. A recap is slowly getting online at http://metatronpress.com, where you can also buy the Gray Code Live in Philadelphia 2000 CD. (It is also available at 'Now! Music & Fashion' in Arlington, VA, in case you're in that area.)
The next bit of BFUpdate-type news is more jazz related. The Benji Tomasetti Quartet's only performance this month will be at the Jazz & Blues Festival at American University on 18 Mar. Please stop by if you get a chance! The Quartet will feature original compositions by Benji Tomasetti (saxophones), Alan Lewine (string bass), and John Kamman (guitar). In case you haven't heard this group before, it produces original straight-ahead in a standard format - or so we lead you to believe! It really is like a Sonic Joyride (no, not the band from Cincinnati...) from start to finish - I can't think of a single person in this distribution who wouldn't love the music.
Thanks to all who came out to see Gray Code on the Tour and I look forward to seeing you DC locals at the BT4t show!
regards/BF
