MAWWIAGE
Thanks to all who represented at my wedding on 3 May 2003. Big shouts out to my boys Jeff, Chris, and Elton who wore tuxes to make me feel less alone while I waited for Rachel to walk down the aisle. Many people graciously traveled many miles via land and air to join us - it was a tremendous experience to have friends from every step of our lives under one roof! [Note to future grooms: Never give groomsmen the gift of flasks the night before the wedding. You'll worry about your mother at the reception.]
Speaking of which, though a good time was had by all, nobody rivaled The Mullen in his celebration of the occasion at the Daisy Flour Mill. Photos are forthcoming, but only to attendees. [Note to future grooms: Make sure everyone who's making a toast knows it before the reception. Apparently, some preparation is involved and you can accordingly experience retribution during the toast.]
In answer to all of the questions raised to date regarding a new house, babies, another dog, etc.: Not yet. [This message brought to you by your friends at Poppycock. "Want some Poppycock?" Further considerations provided
by the Cape Cod Potato Chip Factory. "Our tour sucks, but the gift shop is great!"]
WHICH BEGETS MEMORIES OF THE HONEYMOON...
Cape Cod before tourist season is fantastic. We stayed at the Candleberry Inn in Brewster and had a wonderful time. The house well-kept, the bed soft, the suite well-decorated, breakfasts GREAT. I highly recommend this place to get-away travelers!
Went golfing at Captains Golf Course, which was splendid. Nobody behind me when I teed off *and* Rachel got to walk the course, too. No really - she wanted to. I did, uh, fairly well. I'm starting to land on the green on par three holes. Went to Nantucket for a day; I got bored after a few hours, though the architecture was marvelously consistent. Bought some Milton Welt watercolors in Harwich during our stay. Lots of lighthouses, gardens, sand... but I didn't see a computer for seven days. It was fantastic, I tell you.
TEACHING and MUSIC
I still have room for summer students and may do a hand drumming session or two at the NACC. Let me know if I can send you some recruitment fliers.
Some show work coming up (June/July), but it's not added to the calendar just yet. The KNF Trio is booked for Casino work in the fall. I may have some other gigs there prior to those engagements, so check the calendar.
Anybody interested in sitting down to learn/play some gyil duets? No prior experience necessary!
CLOSING LIKE AN OPEN BAR AT A WEDDING
Oh, one more thing: congratulatory notes to Get Noticed Promotions, Biker Babes Boutique, and the Percussive Arts Society NY Chapter on their recent rerelease/release/redesign (respectively), all done by Rhythmic Media.
Bar closed.
