No, no correlation there. Busy few months I've had here, details to follow as I fall back into this format. A summary of the current feed:

This weekend (8-10 Jul 05) is the Great Blue Heron Music Festival in Sherman, NY. No, I'm not playing. But yes, it's going to be quite the bluegrass and zydeco bender. (And yes, I said "bender.")

I'm getting excited for Fending/Morris sessions at Fur Seal in Minneapolis next (14-16 Jul 05) weekend. Jonathan Morris and I collaborated last on the Fending/Matis CD 'Shiny+Round' (2001). Jon can give a far better retelling of his name change than I can, so I'll not elaborate here. It was a good first collaboration. This round is going to be more minimal from my perspective (traveling a couple of hours by plane sort of limits my instrumentation...), but I hope the challenge is as interesting to listen to as our first recording.

The last weekend in July (the 30th, last I heard), Fending/Morris will be playing in Brooklyn. More details on that soon, though I'll be driving there and therefore back to my usual instrumentation (vibraphone & quasidrumset w/ percussion and hand drums).

By the way: I have a kickin' lawn. New Year's Resolution #1: Check...
